Cupcake Decorating for Kids for World Bread Day
The District North Point always holds worthwhile activities for kids. It’s a real value for those homeschooling in Bacolod families like. Because of these events, we have free educational activities at the mall. Lat weekend, it was cupcake decorating for kids in cooperation with BACNOBA.
What we like about The District North Point Mall in Talisay is that they always hold worthwhile activities for kids at the mall. And this is especially helpful for homeschooling families like us.
A couple of weeks ago, we went there for their weekend Kids’ Bazaar where there are sellers who displayed an assortment of clothes, toys, educational materials, and accessories for kids. It is a great time to shop for Christmas gifts and changes of wardrobes for your kids because of the bargain prices and the assortment of unique finds.
Cupcake Decorating for Kids
But aside from the bazaar, which will continue every weekend till November, there are other activities that change every week. On the weekend that we came, there was an interactive storytelling activity by The Activity and Play Lounge.
Then there was the Cupcake Decorating for Kids that was held in cooperation with the Bacolod-Negros Occidental Bakers Association (BACNOBA), which was one of the organization’s activities in celebration of the World Bread Day 2015.
Future Bakers
About 50 pre-registered kids joined the event. They were provided with four cupcakes each as well as different colored frosting and candy toppings so that they can make different designs. They were able to make Elmo, Cookie Monster, Oscar the Grouch, and flower designs.
But of course, the kids were guided into working by a host on stage who gave directions step by step. The BACNOBA officers also went around helping the kids out on what to do. So it was pretty organized and the kids were able to carry out all the assignments. It was a fun and learning activity and the kids really glowed with pride afterwards that they were able to accomplish what they did.
The kids also got to take home the aprons and bakers’ hats that they wore for the activity. It was really cool and my daughter really enjoyed it! She learned a lot and had fun.
Value for Homeschooling Kids
We are really looking forward to more worthwhile activities for homeschooling in Bacolod kids at The District North Point. For homeschooling families like us, we rely on such special activities in our community that our kids can also take part of. Such activities will foster their creativity as well as socialization skills. They made new friends! Love them!
The Bacnoba also held the How to Design Halloween Doughnuts activity, still at The District North Point.

I love that even children that have been home schooled are able to get networking with other children and families because the community is committed to providing home schooled kids with socialization skills. And how fun is baking as well?
This is a nice way for homeschooled kids to learn! And the best thing is, the activities are free!
These look like lovely activities for the homeschool kids. I love that many areas have options like this for homeschool kids to enjoy and learn new things that perhaps would be more difficult to learn at home. This gives them some fun interactions and has a chance to learn from someone else. I know I personally enjoy a change of scenery from my day to day work at home life, I am sure kids enjoy the same!
Wow! It looks like a great and fun activity and what cool about it is that activity is free! I am sure that these home schooled children definitely enjoy this event.
Cupcakes are so much fun to make and even more fun to decorate so I am so on board with this activity!
These look like great activities at the District North Point and cupcake decorating is always so fun, for homeschooling kids or not. x
I love cupcake decorating and I’m not a kid, ahaha! Would love to participate in these activities with my nices, think they would love it!!
What a lovely workshop this looks to be. It looks like a lot of fun to decorate cakes and mix with other children! Cupcake decorating is so cool and fun!
So cool, I was homeschooled myself and while it isn’t for everyone, I was able to do so many amazing things my friends couldn’t. Including learning at cool events like this.
What a lovely way to get home schooled kids out of the home and mixing with other children. They did well with those cupcakes!
Great suggestions ! I’m homeschooling too, I just don’t live near you (:
