Shopping in the new normal has become pretty tricky. Gone were the days when we can just run to the store for a bottle of soy sauce if we run out. We need to schedule our grocery runs to minimize our interaction with other people. And it’s really stressful when you go to stores that are cramped. That is why I am so happy that Happy Baker Baking Supplies opened in Bacolod. Not only do I get ingredients for baking, but they also have a wide assortment of hard to find products. Read more.
What is the Happy Baker Baking Supplies?
Happy Baker is a new wholesale and retail business in Bacolod City offering baking essentials. They carry baking ingredients, baking tools, milk tea supplies, confectionery, packaging, party supplies, and so many more.
Bulk buys are offered at wholesale prices. It’s like the one-stop-shop for beginners and professional bakers and cake makers. They have more products still arriving in the coming months.
What Makes Mama Happy at the Happy Baker
I am not really a professional baker but I am a mom who indulges my kids with occasional baking projects. Check out our peanut butter cookies recipe.
That way, I can get them to be comfortable in the kitchen and teach them the basic techniques about cooking. And we just bake what our electric oven can handle.
So that means, I don’t really frequent baking stores. But during the pandemic, I haven’t gotten near a baking store because these places are usually crowded. Aside from the hordes of bakers who are really into the business, these stores are usually small, dark, and not properly ventilated. Not safe.
That is why I have listed the things that make mama happy at Happy Baker Baking Supplies.
Wide Assortment of Stocks
Happy Baker Baking Supplies has a wide array of baking needs and milk tea supplies that are source directly from suppliers. There are ingredients, décor, packaging, and even baking tools.
Some items have small retail packs for amateur bakers. But they also have industrial-sized packaging for professional or commercial bakers.
Moreover, they not only sell baking ingredients and tools but also imported snack items as well as chocolate candy.
Affordable Merchandise
While I am not in a position to comment because I have not really compared prices, I was told that Happy Baker has lower prices compared to other baking supplies store.

This is very important because every peso we save is a peso earned. That’s value for money because our family budget gets extended.
Wide Spaces, Safe Shopping
The new normal is such a challenge because we should maintain physical distancing from the next person. And you cannot do that in a small store.
Thankfully, Happy Baker is such a big store and their aisles are spaced apart. It lessens your anxiety while shopping in the new normal where caution exhaustion has taken its toll.
Yes, shopping here can actually be your new relaxation routine (if you are like me who finds grocery shopping very therapeutic).
We cannot stay at home forever but we have to find ways to cope with living while the Covid-19 is still around. Just remember to maintain physical distancing, wear your face mask when in public, and sanitize your hands often.
Learning Workshops by Suppliers
Among the things that will be happening in the near future are the holding of workshops by suppliers. Happy Baker has an area for trainings, which they will offer for free. As per new normal safety protocols, they will just limit the number of attendees.
I am not sure if by that time, Achi Shawna will already be able to attend because she is very keen on learning how to cook and bake.
Friendly Staff
Among the staff I have encountered so far are friendly and helpful. Hope they will continue that work attitude because I really get turned off by people who look down on customers.
