L’Fisher Hotel has once again held their Tree of Hope Lighting Ceremony 2019. For this year, L’Fisher Hotel Bacolod helps the Welcome Home Foundation Inc. and for good reason.
The Tree of Hope
For many years now, L’Fisher Hotel Bacolod has been lighting the Tree of Hope in the middle of their expansive and elegant lobby. They usually hold the ceremony every November to usher in the Christmas season. This Bacolod hotel uses this Yuletide centerpiece not just as an ornament but a symbol of hope.
Sporting different themes and colors each year, the Tree of Hope symbolizes hope for many foundations and organizations that L’Fisher Hotel Bacolod supports. This year, the proceeds of the Tree of Hope will benefit the residents and programs of the Welcome Home Foundation, Inc.
The Tree of Hope lighting ceremony was attended by the Ciocon family. Ms. Delia Ciocon-Granada switched on the lights with Cong. Greg Gasataya and Operations Manager Victor Alcantara.

How to Support the Tree of Hope

Families trooped to Ripples restaurant for a Saturday dinner and also to help in this noble cause.
If you missed the dinner event, you can still help. Just go to the hotel and buy Christmas ornaments at only P100. You can write a note for the residents or a Christmas wish. It’s a Tree of Hope after all. Our little Shane wrote that she wanted a unicorn. hahaha
Guests can also leave Christmas greetings for Welcome Home Foundation Inc. with the gift cards attached to the ornaments.
About the Welcome Home Foundation Inc.
The Welcome Home Foundation is a family of the deaf and hearing both supporting each other. They believe that handicaps and hardships in life will be surmounted as long as people help each other. They may face struggles in their social, spiritual, academic, and professional lives but things get easier with love and support.
WHFI specializes in the education, ministry, and outreach for the deaf and their families. They have a service and empowerment orientation, helping the deaf towards productive and harmonious living in the hearing world.
They have a nice home at Brgy. Mansiligan, Bacolod City complete with amenities and facilities for the training of the hearing-impaired. We visited their site during the distribution of the SM Bears of Joy last year.
Their focus is not just to teach, but to inspire the deaf to teach other deaf to become caring and competent professionals. Two of their embers are already employed with L’Fisher Hotel and are functioning in the real world because of proper spiritual and social guidance.

P100 pesos that will go a long way. 🙂
Plus it teaches our younger ones to be kind to others. And it is a good tradition to involve them in charity works and outreach programs as early as possible so that they will learn to value and be grateful of what they have, at the same time learn to give without expecting anything in return. 🙂
