The New Park Inn by Radisson Bacolod
Park Inn by Radisson Bacolod is a new 150-room hotel in Bacolod City that pushed through with its opening in July 2021, despite the pandemic. Since they opened in this difficult time, everyone is already trained to serve in the new normal, with all safety protocols set in place.
Primarily, most of the staff working there are already fully vaccinated against Covid-19 or have gotten their first dose as of this writing. They have been trained on how to handle guests, efficiently clean individual guest rooms, and sanitize public areas. A standard tracing system and temperature check at the entrance are required. Moreover, guests have to fill up a health declaration form upon checking in.
Since much of its work was done during the pandemic, the set-up of the public areas has been designed for physical distancing. Several waiting lounges are sprinkled all over the expansive lobby while the tables at the Arima Restaurant are positioned far apart from each other. There are also a couple of glass-enclosed function rooms for small gatherings or for the safe dining of a family.
Dining utensils are placed in individual envelopes that could also double as a sanitary mask holder while the guests are dining.
Additionally, guests are encouraged to keep wearing their face masks and shields when not dining and when talking to other people. There are also disinfectant alcohol stations all over the lobby and near the elevator doors for each level.
The Junior Suite of Park Inn by Radisson Bacolod
Our family loves the Park Inn Hotels. We have stayed at the Park Inn by Radisson Iloilo as well as the Radisson Blu in Cebu. In both hotels, we thoroughly enjoyed the wonderful accommodations, amenities, superb food, as well as the warmth of the people.
And the Bacolod hotel did not disappoint.
If space is what you want, then space is what you get at the Junior Suite of Park Inn by Radisson Bacolod. At 49 square meters, this is almost twice as big as the superior room. It has its own living room with 43-inch TV, work area, and minibar with a Nespresso machine. The bedroom features a king-sized bed and another 43-inch TV while the bathroom has a separate toilet, shower, and bathtub.
Such luxury in one hotel room! The room is perfect for a family with little kids, as you can just pay for the extra mattress. If you are checking in without kids, that would be the perfect couple’s retreat–free from your everyday stressors.

By the way, I just want to mention that there is something for everyone at the restaurant. Our little Shane still has a limited palate and was very happy with her pasta and pizza. Meanwhile, Achi ate most of the offerings and was already able to appreciate different dishes. For the health-conscious, there are fresh juices made from natural fruits and vegetables. Love their alternative and healthful drinks!
Food Review: Arima Restaurant of Park Inn by Radisson Bacolod
By now, we have had several meals at the Arima Restaurant — the all-day dining outlet of Park Inn by Radisson Bacolod. More and more Bacolodnons, with our discriminating palate, are discovering the good food here. And the best thing is, the prices are surprisingly reasonable for a hotel restaurant.
They have mostly Filipino dishes and some international fare. But what makes their food creations different is that they made tweaks in order to make the dishes entirely their own. And the tweaking has worked well in their favor.
My personal favorites there are the chicken confit, grilled tomahawk (pork), braised beef ribs, kare-kare, and Fazzelotti di Funghi. Of course, don’t miss their pastas, pizzas, and appetizers/snacks like the spicy Korean Wings and cheese batons.
They served us half a fried chicken on a bed of crispy noodles and it was soooo good! I cannot forget how well-seasoned it was. It reminds me of a good old Chinese noodle dish that I have had somewhere.
By the way, I just want to mention that you can also have your food served by the poolside on the 2nd floor. You can enjoy the sunset or the cool evening breeze while having your favorite food and drinks.
