Every Saturday, our daughters have a new routine — they go to Algorithmics Bacolod for their 8-month course on Unity Game Development. We consider this as their supplemental course as we continue with our homeschooling journey. Algorithmics is an international programming school founded by Andrey Lobanov in 2016. The courses are specifically designed for children ages 6 to 18. Learn more about the school and the courses — your children might find their place here.
About Algorithmics Programming School for Kids
The Algorithmics Programming School for Kids has grown exponentially all over the world is just a short period. It has a presence in almost 100 countries with more than 500 partners. To date, they have already registered more than 1.1 million graduates worldwide.
Catering to children ages 6 to 18, the school has taught children about programming and to get them ready for the future. “We stand for high-quality education and gamification; for this reason, we have more experts in teaching methods than in marketing. Our students learn how to code using the world’s most popular programming languages, shoot high-quality content for YouTube and TikTok and really take to mathematics. And all this takes place on our own educational IT platform,” a release from the company said.
IT Platform for Teaching
The IT platform for teaching used in Algorithmics schools is online and may be accessed anywhere in the world. They have a team of experts in teaching the courses plus the curriculum is continually updated to keep up with industry developments. So wherever you are in the world, even at Algorithmics Bacolod, you get the same quality of education.
Why do parents choose Algorithmics?
The Algorithmics curriculum is developed by a team of experts in teaching methods, educators, and psychologists. Moreover, the teachers speak the same language as their students, love their subject, and know how to make children love it.
At Algorithmics, the educational IT platform is three-in-one:
- a smart class book
- project-oriented environment
- interest community
A Wide Range of Courses
Algorithmics students fall in love with programming and improve their school grades, learn to code in the world’s most popular programming languages, and take on the role of in-demand IT specialists. Depending on their courses, they get to shoot high-quality content for YouTube and TikTok as well as build a portfolio of design projects.
The programming courses are structured like university courses. After you finish one course, you can move on to the next one to continue your training in the next academic year.
Educational IT platform
The educational IT platform is a tool developed by the Algorithmics team for teaching, analytics, and communication:
- Smart book with tasks, games, and hints. Children can study at their own pace. The platform analyzes their progress and offers tasks with varying degrees of difficulty.
- Project lab. Here, the student can practice their skills from the first classes: by collecting Scratch games or programming apps in Python.
- Interest Community. Children can share their projects right on the platform: they like, comment, and find friends among Algorithmics students all over the world.
- Education quality control. Large data analysis on the platform allows Algorithmics to control a student’s academic results and the quality of the teachers’ work.
Own teaching methods
The course programs are developed by a team of 30 experts in teaching methods with a pedagogical and psychological background.
The leading Algorithmics experts are candidates of sciences with international experience in modern technology projects and schools. They regularly update the existing Algorithmics courses according to the newest trends in IT, education, and the children’s world.
Gamification
The educational platform includes gamification and characters, and each course is based on its own storyline. Younger children can launch robots to Mars, rescue princesses, or take part in a secret agent’s operations. Meanwhile, teenagers can get real orders and make a career in IT companies.
Project-based approach
Algorithmics students create their projects while learning — such as cartoons, games, websites, and applications. At the end of each course module, students present their individual or group projects to their class.
Focus on skills of the future
Algorithmics students don’t just learn to code or count. They also learn to find ideas for projects, how to search for and verify information, to distribute tasks, and present the results of their work to an audience.
Creativity, logic, critical thinking, teamwork, and public speaking are skills that make it easier for them to study at school, plan, and achieve their goals.
