Jollibee is like the go-to fastfood restaurant of most Filipino families. Here in Bacolod City, we took part in the Jolly Spaghetti Pinaka-Sweet Day for moms and kids.
Jolly Spaghetti
The Jolly Spaghetti is one of the favorite meals of the Pinoy kid at Jollibee. Unlike it’s Italian counterpart, the Jolly spaghetti has a uniquely Filipino taste.
It is topped with a bright, red-orange sauce that’s very sweet. Moreover, it features hotdogs and grated cheddar cheese on top. The Jolly spaghetti may not be preferred by other nationalities, but this is the taste that Pinoys love.
Needless to say, kids love the Jolly spaghetti while the adults crave for it, too. It is a very popular in Jollibee birthday parties, snacks, and family meals.
Pinaka-Sweet Day 2019
Jollibee held a mom and kids Jolly Spagetti Pinaka-Sweet Day simultaneous event around the Philippines. In Bacolod City, it was held at the new Jollibee Burgos-Gatuslao branch.
Of course, some fathers were there, too, like our famous ballet dad. For us, it was a Sunday family bonding.
Activities for Kids
At Jollibee, it’s about having a fun bonding time over food and activities for kids. And the Jolly Spaghetti Pinaka-Sweet Day was no exception.
First, there was a game using clay and popsicle sticks. Shane and I were one of the winners so she got a prize!
Then, we went on to painting Chinese lanterns. We were provided with all kinds of art materials. There were gel pens, acrylic paints, Japanese paper, googly eyes, and yarn. We were free to design our own lanterns.
Shane and I had a great bonding time painting our lantern.
Special Guests
Of course, the day would not be complete without the participation of special guests. Jollibee and Hetty joined in the fun at Jollibee Gatuslao Bacolod.
They performed a couple of dance numbers that the kids and parents enjoyed. Afterwards, they had a photo opp with everybody.
I will tell you a cute story. When Shawna was a toddler, Jollibee was her first love. Whenever she saw him at birthday parties, she would hug and talk to him. One time, Jollibee had a mall show at SM City Bacolod.
When he exited the stage, he didn’t have the chance to pass by in front of the audience. Shawna was really devastated at that time. So cute. And now, at 10 years old, she already feels awkward having a picture with them. haha
Meanwhile, Shane is still very happy with them.
Shane and Hetty are like long-lost best friends. hihi Before the mascots left, Hetty hugged Shane so hard. So cute together! <3
Mom and Child Bonding Achieved
Thank you, Jollibee, for allowing this wonderful bonding activity with our children. The Bacolod mommy bloggers were very happy to join.
The activity was much like what we did for Chinese New Year last year.

It was interesting how Jollibee has added it’s own twist on the classic spaghetti, to make it suit the Filipino taste. It’s also great that they organize such fun events for children, too. Both moms and kids have surely enjoyed.
I’ve never heard of Jollibee before because we don’t have it in our country. But it seems like a nice fastfood and their activities geared for the family are so fun!
