A Bacolod Pediatric Interventional Cardiologist and OB-Gyne open their new clinic
Husband and wife tandem of Bacolod pediatric interventional cardiologist Dr. Judah Gozar and OB-Gynecologist Dr. Cristina Tinio-Gozar opened their shared clinic.
Match Made in Iloilo
Dr. Cristina “Tina” Tinio-Gozar is from Bacolod City. Meanwhile, Dr. Judah Dilag Gozar is from Zarraga, Iloilo. Both medical hopefuls met and fell in love while still studying at the Iloilo Doctors College of Medicine. They eventually finished their degrees, got married, and decided to bring their practice in Bacolod City, Negros Occidental, Philippines.
Both doctors had their residency training at the Riverside Medical Center for both Obstetrics and Gynecology and Pediatrics, respectively.
Obstetrics and Gynecology (OB-Gyne)
Dr. Tina specializes in Obstetrics and Gynecology (OB-Gyne). Her medical practice deals with the female reproductive system and diseases, including the breasts, pregnancy, and child birth. She also promotes breastfeeding.
She has been practicing privately since 2016.
Pediatrics
Dr. Judah specialized in Pediatrics, a branch of medical care dealing with infants, children, and even adolescents. He sub-specialized in Pediatric Cardiology in order to attend to children with heart diseases. Wit that, he does fetal, transthoracic, and transesophageal echocardiography as well as sports clearance.
Bacolod Pediatric Interventional Cardiologist
To enhance his specialization, Dr. Judah had further training in Pediatric and Congenital Cardiac Catheterization and Interventional Cardiology in UP-PGH. It is a cardiology sub-specialty that deals with pediatric and adults with congenital heart diseases.
In this practice, selected heart defect or diseases may be diagnosed and treated through transcatheter intervention. With these cases, he is able to address cardiac problems without the need of an open heart surgery.
Pediatric Cardiology Upskill
Dr Judah had his fellowship training in Pediatric Cardiology at the University of the Philippines-Philippine General Hospital (UP-PGH). During this time, he had additional exposure in Fetal Echocardiography at the Mattel Children’s Hospital, University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA).
Furthermore, he pursued his additional fellowship training in Pediatric and Congenital Cardiac Catheterization and Interventional Cardiology at the UP-PGH. Moreover, he also had the opportunity to upskill and expand his capabilities at the Children’s Hospital No 1 in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.
At present, Dr. Gozar is one of the three Bacolod pedia cardiologists. He just started his practice and is the first Bacolod Pediatric Interventional Cardiologistand Negros Island Region.
