Teaching Entrepreneurship for Kids
The topic of entrepreneurship is not a school subject. But we would all definitely benefit if many of us were taught in that subject. That is why teaching entrepreneurship for kids is very important. And Bright Kids Preschool here in Bacolod City is at the forefront of this initiative.
Entrepinoy at Bright Kids Preschool
Teaching entrepreneurship for kids is integral in our society. It helps raise up kids who are able to think up of solutions to problems.
Entrepinoy has been running for four years now at Bright Kids Preschool Bacolod. It aims to teach the kids that money does not grow on trees. It teaches them the value of earning money — that it is something that they have to work hard for.
Teacher Sheryll Ong, Directress of Bright Kids Preschool said, “Through the activities of Entrepinoy, the kids are also able to put value to money and spend it wisely.” The school holds a series of Entrepinoy activities throughout the school year so the kids keep on engaging in enterprising activities. After all, teaching entrepreneurship for kids is not just a one-time thing.
Opening a Savings Account
One of the goals of Entrepinoy is to get the kids to open their personal savings account. Teacher Sheryll said that, “When the kids have reached a total of P2,000 each, then they can open an account to save their money.” For now, their sales are being safe kept by the school.

“We have a lot of Entrepinoy success stories,” Teacher Sheryll revealed. The parents are thankful that their kids learned how to save and only spend a portion of their earnings. “They also usually buy the ones that are on sale.”

Love this post. As an entrepreneur I would definitely be teaching kids about how to run a business. This is a great idea for all the parents.
