Cashless payments are already a big part of our everyday lives. GCash, the country’s leading mobile wallet, continues to expand its partnership with local government units with the recent signing of a memorandum of agreement between the local government of Victorias City, Negros Occidental, and Bacolod City to deliver safe and convenient digital solutions to their constituents for their tax and fee payments. This is in line with the current leaders’ “Finance for All” vision.
Cashless Payments Accepted at Victorias City LGU
With this, Victorias City will be the first LGU to scale up its GCash payment acceptance to more than just real property and business taxes. Under the agreement, locals will now be able to use the GCash QR payment method to pay for professional tax and transfer tax, including registration fees such as marriage license fee, service, and user charges, income from economic enterprise, Gawahon entrance fee, market rental charge, and payments for Victorias Hotel accommodation, City Resort entrance fee, City Resort cottage rental charge, parking fees, and more.
“Consumers and businesses around the country are increasingly shifting to cashless payment methods for their day-to-day needs, and we are grateful to have partnered with GCash as we continue to step up and adapt quickly to serve our constituents better. Together with GCash, we will continue to ensure that our citizens are equipped with the right digital financial tools and solutions,” said City Mayor Javier Miguel L. Benitez
True to his commitment to delivering a clean, efficient, and inclusive future, Mayor Javi Benitez partners with GCash in accepting cashless and digital payments on various government fees in Victorias City.
