It’s not typical for a skincare brand to market its products using poetries, but it’s happening. A newly-launched Filipino skincare brand called Skin Poem is doing just that. With growing numbers of reach, since they started in the last months of 2022, their marketing strategy is working. Indeed, you really do have to be creative and be outside the box if you want to stand out from the rest of the beauty industry.

Skin Poem: More than Just Skincare
Valuing different voices of writers and poets, Skin Poem doesn’t just devote their hearts to skincare production. The brand also wants to recognize young and well-rounded talents whose niche is in story-telling.
Last March 23, 2023, Skin Poem posted on its Instagram account that it is going to host its first-ever Skin Poem’s Poetry Competition. The theme is: When Love Blooms, Skin Glows. Anybody who has the passion to put together words into poetry can join.

Here are the Mechanics to Join:
- Include an art or an illustration beside your poetry.
If you’re an avid fan of Instagram Poetries, you know what this means. Poets usually include their artworks, such as paintings, illustrations, and even digital drawings in their pieces. Not only because these add extra aesthetic to the poetry, but they also emphasize the value and depth of the overall story.
- The minimum word count is 100
Be sure that you also need to be precise with your word count. Choose the right words that really matter to your poem.

The aim of this Skin Poem is not just to host a poetry competition where they can choose the winners who can take home the prizes.
