Going to Iloilo City has been a regular family trip for us. This time, we all stayed in a Seda Atria Premier Room and it was a great experience for us.
Staying in a Seda Atria Premier Room
Since we live in Bacolod City, Negros Occidental, Philippines, Iloilo City is our nearest neighboring island.
This time we checked in at Seda Atria because it was near the venue of my event. And honestly, this is our first time to stay in a premier room in a Seda hotel.
Seda Atria Location
The new Seda Atria Hotel in Iloilo stands tall and proud at the Atria. It is right in front of the the Donato Pison Monument at the Pison Rotunda.
Right smack in the middle of new developments in Iloilo City, Seda Atria is a strategic hotel to stay in for businessmen.
Seda Atria Premier Room
As a homeschooling family, the four of us usually travel together. We are blessed with opportunities to go around the country and stay in family-friendly hotels.
This month, we had to go to Iloilo City for the Educators’ Conference (EDCON2019) for Homeschooling Supervisors. It’s an event organized by the Philippine School of Tomorrow as completion to DepEd requirements to enrol in the next level.
While there, we got to stay at Seda Atria Iloilo, which is just near the conference venue. And we had the privilege of staying in a Seda Atria Premier Room. We just so love how big it is!
The Seda Atria Premier Room is a spacious 35-sq meter room with a king-sized bed. It has floor to ceiling windows that give us a nice view of the developments around us. At night, it is nice to look out and see the bustling city lights.
Meanwhile, it has a living room area with sofas and a center table as well as an executive’s desk. The toilet and bath is pretty big, too.
Getting an Extra Bed
And the best part is, there is ample space for an extra bed. We realized that our eldest Shawna has quite grown lately. A more comfortable set up for us now would be a king-sized bed for Papa, Mama, and Shane. Achi Shawna gets a single bed of her own.
Now in the Seda Atria Premier Room, we all could sleep nicely.
But we realized that in a year or two, our travel dynamics will change because the kids are growing fast!
This room can accommodate a maximum of 3 adults or 2 adults and 2 children below 12 years old. Please note that the third adult has corresponding charges.
Premier Room Amenities
Here are the amenities we enjoyed in our Seda Atria Premier Room:
- 40-inch HDTV TV with cable channels
- Coffee and Tea-making facilities
- Electronic In room safe
- Executive desk
- IDD phone with alarm clock, radio and Ipod dock
- In room dining

- Straight Up Roofdeck Bar
- Business center
- Shuttle service
- Airport and city transfers
- E-lounge
- Function rooms
- In-room massage

- Complimentary high-speed WiFi
The only thing missing here is a swimming pool! Since the kids like spending hours on the pool, this was the only bummer during our stay.
Food
We were not able to sample their ala carte menu because we kept going out to meet friends. So we cannot comment on their food. Aside from Misto, their in-house cafe, Seda Atria is surrounded by homegrown Iloilo restaurants. It’s easy to have a food trip around here.
While at the hotel, you might want to check out their Straight Up Bar at the roof deck. It is very nice to relax here at the end of the day. We tucked the kids in for the night and snuck out to enjoy a quiet moment. Hubby and I need that.
Breakfast Buffet
Their breakfast buffet has pretty complete food stations, including an omelet station. The bacon plate is constantly being refilled.
Meanwhile, the omelet station is what’s missing from Seda Capitol Central in Bacolod.
What the kids really like is that they serve whole fruits! They especially love crunching on green apples and slicing the oranges.
Family meal times are important for us. But at home, we don’t usually eat breakfast together. That is why during travels, we enjoy the hotel’s breakfast buffet.
Oh, I want to note that our Achi Shawna no longer gets free breakfast because of her age. We already have to pay 50% for her breakfast. That is why our travel dynamics are going to change soon.
Side Trips in Iloilo
While staying at Seda Atria, we set aside a day so that we can visit one Iloilo tourist attraction. We do that for every city that we visit, even if we go there on official business.
For this trip, we went on a side trip to the Denila Grapes Farms in Sta. Barbara, Iloilo. It’s about a 30-minute taxi ride from Seda Atria and costs around P350. The kids enjoyed picking grapes and also feeding the pigeons there. Entrance is only P30 and the grapes we picked cost P130 per kilo. It was a nice and affordable outdoor outing for the kids.
After our field trip at the Denila Grapes Farm, we sought the Batchoyan ni Jasmin nearby. They had one of the best bowls of batchoy that we have ever tried!

Despite the modern amenities in this Iloilo hotel, as well as its strategic location, the prices are actually quite reasonable. And if there’s promo, you could get it really cheap! Check the table below just to give you an idea.

Aww. Having no pool can be a dealbreaker for Seda Atria. But i love the new term “paximum” as in maximum pax? 🙂 and thanks for the grape-picking idea. That’s a novel one and worth going for a day trip!
Oh my gosh! That’s a typo hahaha But paximum sounds kind of catchy, doesn’t it? hahaha
Yes! Kaya don’t change it, hehe! BTW, were the grapes sweet and juicy? ?
During our visit at Denila Grapes Farm, it was just after the series of typhoones. August 31 na kasi. So the grapes were small and not very sweet. It’s best to go there during the summer. We went there for the experience na lang. 🙂
Making a mental note to check this place out when I visit Iloilo next time 🙂 Seda Atria has very nice rooms at reasonable prices!
Seda Atria Iloilo is not bad at all! Excellent category for an excellent hotel room. I love this hotel! Your hotel review makes it look enticing to stay there for the whole family and for businessmen.
Looks like a wonderful stay for your whole family! Seda Atria sure did provide for everything you need. The lack of a swimming pool is a bummer though. I am pretty sure that many guests would like to go swimming, especially those with kids.
Seda Atria looks amazing! It’s very stylish and chic. Certainly would be on my list of top ten places to stay when I visit the Philippines.
Seda Atria looks like a great and very comfortable hotel in Iloilo. Plus, the food looks great. That banana split that your little one got made me crave for one. haha

Seda Atria looks really nice, perfect for a weekend hang out.. I appreciate their roofdeck bar. Straight Up looks amazing plus it’s great value! You get apericena with your drink? Cool! I love it there! For sure, I will have more than just one drink. haha

That Seda Atria hotel looks amazing! My son would love all those teddies, too! And the price is really good for such a high standard hotel in Iloilo. A great choice for a family stay. 🙂
I love the big windows at Seda Atria – the natural lighting at hotels can be so limiting so this is fantastic! You can open the drapes during the day to let the light in. The dessert looks so delicious as well!
